Enveloped in 800,000 hand-cut bricks, this expansive Jainism complex stands at the heart of a 100-hectare monastery atop a hill in Dharampur.

Each brick, crafted from white marble off-cuts, was meticulously set over a two-year period across the building’s 36 elevations. The intentionally textured surfaces create dynamic patterns of light and shadow on the façade.

The library features a variety of reading areas and classrooms, all framed by substantial brick arches and arranged around a spacious, brick-paved courtyard. Vibrant bookshelves add pops of color against the orange-brown plaster walls.
