Kia has unveiled its EV5 model at an educational complex in Gyeonggi province as part of the ongoing video series that pairs its electric vehicles with contemporary South Korean architecture.
The EV5 is a fully electric, mid-sized SUV designed for daily use and family lifestyles, expanding Kia’s growing electric vehicle lineup.
Kia introduces the EV5, its newest mid-sized electric SUV
The EV5 features a broad, upright front and a robust bonnet, giving it a more commanding presence compared to many compact electric vehicles.
Its distinctive, boxy silhouette is characterised by geometric surfaces, vertical lines, and square fenders, creating what Kia calls a “dynamic box” form tailored to the C-SUV class.

This design philosophy aims to maximise cabin space while presenting a streamlined, minimal exterior.
Inside, the EV5 adopts Kia’s Opposites United design language, featuring a clean layout with a panoramic display and built-in storage solutions.

The video was shot at Seongok Seowon Academy, a modern educational facility designed by Seung H-Sang of Iroje Architects.
The academy project reinterprets the traditional seowon—historic private academies historically placed in tranquil, remote settings.

The complex is arranged on a gentle slope within Les Jardins de Médongaule in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi province.
Its layout is organised as a sequence of courtyards, stepped terraces, and connecting paths, all framed by exposed concrete structures.
