Maison Margiela, the renowned fashion house, has revealed its inaugural residential project. This new development is featured in a reel produced for the brand by Dezeen.

The French luxury label introduced plans for an upscale residential complex in Dubai earlier this year.

Maison Margiela has previously explored the world of design and interiors, including a collaboration with wallpaper brand Omexco and by designing a bespoke suite at the Les Sources de Caudalie hotel near Bordeaux.

This initiative, however, marks the brand’s first foray into residential living spaces. The project is being developed in collaboration with Alta Real Estate Development and will be situated on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah archipelago.

Interiors reflect the white and gold colour palette

The project will consist of 25 custom-designed residences by Maison Margiela, utilizing materials such as travertine and white resin.

Gold accents are featured throughout the development, providing a striking contrast to the overall white façade.

The interiors echo the exterior’s color palette. A minimalist collection of furniture, designed by Italian architect Carlo Colombo, has been selected to furnish the spaces.

Colombo’s collection includes a variety of pieces, such as lamps, beds, tables, and seating, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic throughout the interiors.
