Morsa Taller designs a six-piece structure assembled in a day
In Buenos Aires, Morsa Taller has developed a 7-square-meter mobile office that approaches construction as a precise, puzzle-like assembly. The structure consists of six prefabricated components, which can be transported, assembled, and made operational all within a single day. Currently situated in the courtyard of a private residence, this compact workspace is designed for versatility, capable of being relocated to various environments—from backyards and rooftops to rural areas or city streets. Its softly curved roof draws inspiration from the iconic buses of Buenos Aires, channeling water away while lending the office a distinctive, urban character. The base is equipped with wheels, emphasizing the design’s mobile nature.

Material testing and metalworking expertise
The mobile office is made up of four removable facade panels with thoughtfully placed openings, a curved roof section, and a wheeled base. Each part was crafted at the Buenos Aires-based workshop of Morsa Taller and Santiago Legnini. The pieces are transported separately and can be reassembled on-site with only a screwdriver and a riveter. Because each element required its own insulation and mechanical connections, the project became an exploration of layered, modular logic—every module operates independently yet fits together perfectly. Inside, the carpentry, storage, mechanisms, and equipment are all tailored to suit the unique internal configuration of the office, rather than conforming to standard workspace types.
