London apartment by EBBA

The latest issue of our Dezeen Debate newsletter highlights the transformation of EBBA founder Benni Allan’s London apartment. Subscribe to Dezeen Debate to stay updated.

Benni Allan, founder of EBBA Architects, renovated his London flat located in a former tea factory, using Douglas fir extensively throughout the interior. The timber covers the walls, floors, furniture, and even the speakers, creating a unified look.

One reader described the apartment as “wood at its finest”, while another found it “dark and unappealing”, comparing it to “a mediocre showroom for other products”.
