Benni Allan, founder of EBBA Architects, renovated his London flat located in a former tea factory, using Douglas fir extensively throughout the interior. The timber covers the walls, floors, furniture, and even the speakers, creating a unified look.

One reader described the apartment as “wood at its finest”, while another found it “dark and unappealing”, comparing it to “a mediocre showroom for other products”.
