Bonita Springs city officials, developers, and community leaders gathered to break ground on Midtown in Bonita. The development is a transformative 68-acre mixed-use destination that defines how Southwest Florida connects to dining, shopping and connectivity.

Located a quarter-mile east of I-75 on Bonita Beach Road, developers envision Midtown in Bonita to be the region’s beating heart, a place where neighbors and visitors alike can gather, dine and celebrate life’s everyday moments.

Midtown in Bonita Springs fully embraces conservation with pedestrian-friendly walkability and over 30 acres of open space. Spanning over 68 acres, the mixed-use community will include retail, residences, restaurants, fitness, lakes, proposed office space and more. It will serve as the social hub for Southwest Florida.

Bonita’s Midtown will be home to retail tenants such as Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panera Bread, Henring Bison, Club Palate, Good Waits, Jeff’s Bagel Run, Nail Bar, Bonita Beach Wine & Spirits, Gelato & Co., Loot Burrow Pizza, Mathnasium and dental office Joe Pacific Dental Rolls, Sugaringla, among many others.

Bonita’s Midtown is developed by the Zuckerman Group, a family-owned business that is celebrating its 100th anniversary and has been in business for more than four generations since 1924. The developer has consistently delivered exceptional results with each project, earning recognition as one of Southwest Florida’s premier commercial and residential builders.

This marks more than the beginning of ground construction. It signals the creation of a new destination for Bonita Springs and all of Southwest Florida, becoming a hub of coastal charm and a place for community to come together.

Midtown at Bonita is more than a construction project. This is a new chapter in how Southwest Florida grows and connects. The 68-acre mixed-use development is designed to reflect the spirit of community.

Representatives of the developers said the project is indicative of the importance of jobs, tax revenue, and investor confidence in the continued expansion of Southwest Florida.

As the region’s population grows, Midtown at Bonita offers a solution—a central destination that reduces traffic by allowing residents to live, work, shop and eat in one walkable community.

Filling a gap: Bonita’s Midtown is designed to be the central gathering place for Bonita Springs and surrounding communities, a new destination where people can live, work, dine and connect.

Strategic Location: Located on one of Southwest Florida’s busiest corridors with direct I-75 access, the site will serve local residents, vacationers and the region’s growing population.
